EA888.3 IS20 STAGE 1

IE Stage 1 ECU calibration dramatically increases performance leaving no hidden power on the table, and safely maxes out the factory IHI IS20 turbocharger's horsepower & torque capability. Engineered to operate on entirely stock hardware and compatible with basic bolt-ons (intake, turbo inlet, intercooler).

EA888.3 IS20 STAGE 2

IE Stage 2 software is for full bolt-on stock turbo builds running an aftermarket racing downpipe. IE calibrators use advanced tuning strategies to extract additional power and account for the increased flow from an upgraded downpipe and performance hardware. The required hardware upgrades for stage 2 will increase airflow, exhaust flow, lower intake air temps, provide faster IAT recovery, and produce an overall more efficient and faster vehicle on the stock IHI IS20 turbocharger.

UPGRADING STAGES

Upgrading from Stage 1 to Stage 2 or beyond is easy! With IE, you only pay the difference in tune cost with no extra fees. When you install the required matching hardware, simply follow the link on your IE POWERlink software to purchase the tune upgrade and you will be blowing away the competition in minutes!

HIGH/LOW TORQUE FILES

IE High Torque ECU calibrations maximize power gains throughout the entire powerband which quickly exceeds the torque limitations of the factory DSG calibration (auto trans) or the stock clutch (manual trans) that leads to clutch slipping. Stage 1 and Stage 2 files include optional Low Torque files for vehicles with stock DSG tune or stock clutch. Both high and low torque files are included and can be switched between as often as you like.

High Torque files require the additional purchase of a DSG transmission tune or clutch upgrade.


FEATURES & OPTIONS

INCREASED RPM

To take advantage of the new larger power band, factory rev limits have been raised to 7000RPM in all stages. On DSG equipped cars, the transmission will shift slightly before the new engine RPM (6900RPM).

DSG Tune is required to unlock higher RPM.

TRUEFLEX ETHANOL

E85 fuel unlocks the most performance potential from our ECU tunes for your GTI or A3 Gen 3 engine. Ethanol contains tons of oxygen, burns cooler, and has a high resistance to knock. This provides more horsepower and torque than running conventional gasoline and is more readily available (in most states) and less expensive than race gas. IE TrueFlex calibrations take this a step further and allow for 91 octane all the way up to full E85 or anything in between on one tune without the need to reflash! TrueFlex is an included option with all stages. Currently available for 2015-2018 model years, 2019+ support is coming soon.

BRAKE BOOST

Brake Boosting provides a competitive edge in a roll racing scenario. While maintaining a constant speed and throttle position, apply brake pressure with the left foot to build boost at speed resulting in a rolling launch when brake pressure is released.

EXHAUST CRACKLE

Enabling the Exhaust Crackle feature will add a motorsport-inspired crackle sound to your exhaust note when you free-rev the engine or decelerate. This feature can be flashed on or off at will with your IE POWERlink.

For the most aggressive pops and bangs an aftermarket catback system is recommended.

RELIABILITY TESTING

IE's fully proven software brings track-ready ECU programming to your EA888 Gen3 IS20 turbocharged 2.0T engine while retaining factory comfort and reliability. IE's own tuning technology suite is used to completely reverse-engineer the factory ECU mapping, allowing our software engineers access to realign all safety protocols and sensors for the new performance calibration. Every tune parameter undergoes months of testing on our in-house dyno systems that utilize the world's only Sea Level Generator developed specifically to verify tune operations in any condition. STAGE 2+ IS38 TURBO

IE Stage 2+ IS38 adds the next step of power over Stage 2 by adding a larger IHI IS38 turbocharger delivering up to 420HP & 474TQ! This ECU tune when combined with your existing Stage 2 hardware and IS38 adds additional power and boost over Stage 2 using the factory larger turbo found stock on MK7 Golf R and 8V S3 engines.

IE's Stage 2+ IS38 TrueFlex requires all Stage 2 hardware, IS38 turbo upgrade, and utilizes our flex-fuel sensor and harness kit to deliver the jost power from your turbo upgrade. TrueFlex will automatically adjust between 91 octane up to E85 ethanol.

STAGE 3 GT2260S TRUEFLEX

IE's Stage 3 GT2260S TrueFlex for your MK7 or 8V 2.0T utilizes our flex-fuel sensor and harness kit to deliver race gas power on a cost-effective ethanol blend producing a heart-pounding 489HP & 483TQ! E30 is the highest blend available within the fuel system limitations providing the maximum performance numbers without pulling power for higher E%. TrueFlex will automatically adjust between 91 octane up to E30 ethanol blend. Ethanol content must not exceed the maximum E30 blend; an ethanol content sensor kit and gauge is highly recommended.

GARRETT POWERMAX TURBO

When selecting a turbocharger for our MQB Stage 3 ECU tuning, IE engineers and calibrators valued a large powerband of increased power and reliability without adding turbo lag. After extensive research and testing, the easy bolt-in design of the German-engineered GT2260S from Garrett proves itself as the optimal balance of increased top-end power, smooth power delivery, and responsive boost with unnoticeable lag over stock. Backed by Garretts reputaiton of reliability with over 65 years in leading the proffessional motorsport, aftermarket, and factory turbo applications. When combined with IE's calibration strategies, the result is modern street manners with truly addicting race-car performance.

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at amtuning.ca@outlook.com labelled as “Defective Item”

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
